This is a FREE 20-minute intro to my six week Fine Art & Drawing Skills Course. "I will cover the basics of how to set up your workspace and how to generate ideas. I will introduce your chosen materials, show you how to compose a visually balanced and dynamic composition, as well as explain how to finish your proposed piece. Alternatively, if you are halfway through a project, I can tailor the lesson around your specific needs. I will teach you how to follow a project through in its entirety and break the process down, leading to a stage-by-stage final piece. I can either offer you a selection of tasks and projects I have created myself to choose from, or you can come to me with an idea or project you wish to work on. o How will you teach: Discussion or lecture? Do you use any specific aids to help your teaching? The classes will be discussion-based - you will have the opportunity to ask questions as we go along. o What level are you pitching the course to? Will your students require any previous knowledge or experience of the subject matter? No previous knowledge is needed. "
Once this 20-minute session has completed, you may wish to continue with my six-week course.
As an artist, I have a varied practise that incorporates all sorts of media. Raging from 2D pencil sketches, paint, photography and embroidery to digital media and installation work. This translates into my teaching which is inspired by the processes that I follow as an artist. I teach tried and tested, differentiated models of working to help individuals at any stage of their project. My teaching style offers a practical and informed approach to studying the art, with plenty of plenaries to cement the learning.

About Me

I teach to share my love and passion for art. I teach to build connections that are rooted in creative expression. My aim as a facilitator is to tailor the learning experience around the individual’s needs and interests. My skill as a teacher is to ignite confidence and passion in making art that celebrates personality, skill, originality, and fresh contemporary practices.

As an artist, I have a varied practise which incorporates all sorts of media. It ranges anywhere from 2D pencil sketches, paint, photography, embroidery, to digital media and installation works. This translates into my teaching which is inspired by the processes I follow as an artist. I teach tried and tested, differentiated models of working to help individuals at any stage of their project. My teaching style offers a practical and informed approach to studying art, with plenty of plenaries to cement the learning.

I enjoy giving specific and constructive advice with an emphasis on embracing the learning opportunities that supposed failure presents. My course will teach students how to embrace failure by using their creativity as a means to work through an idea.

Courses on Offer:
Paint, Drawing and Illustration, Print, Photography, Clay, Textiles, Fashion, Academic Writing, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Audition, Sound Editing and Recording, Video Editing, Projection and curation.

I offer one-off tutorials or a series of lessons.

I can either offer you a selection of tasks and projects I have created myself, or you can come to me with an idea or project you wish to work on. I am very flexible and happy to do either.

Each Learned.Live teacher is awarded a 4 star review for every one of their courses we have approved, in line with our assessment. This is why some teachers will display more than one 4 star review from Learned.Live if they have had multiple courses rigorously assessed by our team. We would not approve a course application if we did not feel it warranted a default 4 star review. Teacher star ratings are an average of each of their courses star ratings and will become modified as more students review their course(s) over time
