A beginners guide to thinking differently when using your camera or phone to improve the standard of your photography. Learn from a qualified Master Photographer from the Master Photographer’s Association. My teaching style and aids I use to help my teaching: This lecture is given in a presentation style lesson with easy visuals to help understand the concepts. What is the course objective? What will my students have learnt by the end of the course? You will walk away with a toolkit of ideas to challenge you to think differently when next taking a photo. It won’t matter whether your passion is landscapes or your new baby, impress your friends with these simple recommendations. Why is it a useful or interesting subject to learn? Fed up with being told your photos are rubbish? Looking for ways to boost your photos personally or to boost your online presence? This course will give you the confidence to use your images for whatever purpose with pride. What level do I pitch the course to? Will my students require any previous knowledge or experience of the subject matter? Suitable for beginners, and anyone without prior knowledge of photography. What do my students need to bring to the class, if anything? No need to bring anything other than a notepad to remember these tips and hints.
You do not need to prepare any questions nor will there be homework. It´s not required to put in any time for study outside the classroom.

About Me

Hi! My name is Karen, and it is a love of capturing people's best which inspires me to journey down the photography path. A Mum of twin boys, who adores travelling, I have spent the last two decades honing photography skills.

I am a qualified Master Photographer from the Master Photographers Association and owner of Karen Payne Photography. I have been awarded my Licentiateship of the Master Photographer Association (LMPA) with a panel of Images of environmental portraiture. Licentiateship of the MPA, is the hardest qualification to achieve within the photographic profession, as this takes a great deal of time, work and dedication to reach this level.

Originally from Australia and having lived in Asia and the Middle East for the last decade, I am excited to help anyone with a love of photography or those who just want to learn some fun and easy ways to impress friends and family with better photography.

Each Learned.Live teacher is awarded a 4 star review for every one of their courses we have approved, in line with our assessment. This is why some teachers will display more than one 4 star review from Learned.Live if they have had multiple courses rigorously assessed by our team. We would not approve a course application if we did not feel it warranted a default 4 star review. Teacher star ratings are an average of each of their courses star ratings and will become modified as more students review their course(s) over time
