Negotiation is more than just sitting across the table throwing offers at the other party. The ability to negotiate involves an understanding of how to persuade and influence using methods that leave both parties satisfied. In order to achieve a positive outcome, various techniques can be used and once you are aware of how to go about using these techniques you, and your team will feel empowered and confident.

Effective negotiation skills also reduce conflict, maintain positive relationships and increase productivity. Whether you are using these skills in minor ways or for more formal disputes, you will ultimately feel in control of the situations that require negotiation in the workplace.

This course is designed for professionals working on a supervisor level and upwards although any professional will benefit from using these techniques. Using your experiences and the best practice that I have gained over my career, I hope to provide you with the necessary skills that you will need to ensure positive dispute resolution.

There is no formal assessment for this course however a short self-assessment will be handed out to each learner at the end of the course. As the facilitator, I will be using various informal assessment methods during the courses to understand if the concepts are being understood and can be applied.

One of the many interpersonal skills that are misunderstood is the art of negotiating in the workplace. The ability to negotiate, influence and persuade are usually associated with sales and marketing roles however these skills can be applied in many different ways. I’ve taught many learners and teams how to use these techniques to work with clients and other teams within an organization effectively. I have used this exposure and experience to simplify the concepts that can be used in a quick and productive manner by all professionals, on any level.

My articles and videos on this topic have been published on various platforms over the years and I continue to strive for current, trending and most importantly,

About Me

I want to be paid to read, write and talk but since that's not possible (Yet), I've settled for something in the middle- life skills training and facilitation. In the classroom I get to interact with people from all walks of life, sharing what I've learnt, and helping people move forward in their lives, all while learning and developing constantly myself. I use my quirky sense of humor, story telling abilities and my ability to connect with people, to create an engaging learning space where any learner can thrive.

Life skills can range from anything to almost everything! What differentiates a manager from a leader? Or an effective performer from a Highly Effective performer? What makes it so easy to talk to and take advice from one person but not someone else? That's where learning the art of Life skills makes a difference. Knowing how to communicate well; be an active participant in all your engagements or just being present and listening to the conversations around you, can be the difference between a having a job or launching a career.

Here's where I come in: I can help you navigate and apply all these concepts, not just in your professional life, but in your personal life as well.
Outside of the formal learner and development space I am a Life Coach, writer and speaker.
I create training videos on various African, UK and American platforms and try my hardest to continue growing.

Each Learned.Live teacher is awarded a 4 star review for every one of their courses we have approved, in line with our assessment. This is why some teachers will display more than one 4 star review from Learned.Live if they have had multiple courses rigorously assessed by our team. We would not approve a course application if we did not feel it warranted a default 4 star review. Teacher star ratings are an average of each of their courses star ratings and will become modified as more students review their course(s) over time
