This course takes a holistic approach to help learners understand their individual response to work-related stress, how it can lead to anxiety and how to manage it more effectively using a range of evidence-based strategies. This session is a mixture of providing content through teaching interspersed with activities. By the end of the course, learners should have a clear understanding of: 1) the relationship between stress and anxiety and how our thinking mediates our response 2) awareness of their own coping strategies and their effectiveness 3) a range of evidence-based strategies to manage stress and anxiety both inside and out of work 4) how to create a personalised plan for managing work-related stress and anxiety This course integrates aspects from CBT, positive psychology, NLP, somatic modalities and hypnotherapy. This course is for anyone who has an interest in personal development, wants to take greater ownership of their wellbeing and has a curious and open mind to try new things.
You will be given an initial assessment prior to the first session to help determine your baseline levels. In addition, there will be some work set between sessions however this will consist of reflective work and activities. I will also encourage you to share insights gained from taking time to reflect on the content.
I have been teaching and lecturing in psychology for over 10 years. I have worked within the NHS as a mental health practitioner using CBT to treat a range of common mental health problems. In addition, I have qualifications in integrative counselling, NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy and I am currently studying towards a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology.

About Me

I love learning and think that education has the power to transform lives, this is why I am so passionate about psychology and how to apply it to our lives. I'm currently doing a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology which offers powerful techniques on how to use coaching and the Psychology of creating your optimal life to transform HOW we live.

I aim to offer a range of applied psychology courses with a focus on helping you grow more fully and move closer towards your potential. My current flagship course is around the psychology of setting and actually achieving your goals, this is based on both experiential learning and psychology. I also have more therapeutic courses around managing stress, anxiety and depression.

As I am a qualified teacher, I can also offer introductory psychology classes which are more academic in nature depending on need and demand.

I believe that my classes are designed to help you think outside of the box, deepen your self-awareness and learn practical skills, my desire is that through applying this knowledge and principles you will be able to start creating change in your life in a more empowered way.

Each Learned.Live teacher is awarded a 4 star review for every one of their courses we have approved, in line with our assessment. This is why some teachers will display more than one 4 star review from Learned.Live if they have had multiple courses rigorously assessed by our team. We would not approve a course application if we did not feel it warranted a default 4 star review. Teacher star ratings are an average of each of their courses star ratings and will become modified as more students review their course(s) over time.
