This course applies psychological knowledge and CBT strategies to aid the learner in understanding their individual response to stress and how to manage it more effectively. . This session is a mixture of teaching and lecturing interspersed with activities and some opportunities for QnA or brief discussion, however, this is dependent on time. By the end of the course, you should have a clear understanding of: 1) how stress is individually created and maintained in your life 2) tools and strategies to help you better manage your stress levels Unlike other forms of therapy, CBT is designed to empower the individual to play a more active part in their emotional well-being and mental health, this is achieved through the use of various skills, tools and strategies that are practised regularly in addition to learning how the mind works and how we use our mind in unhelpful ways. This course is for anyone who is self-motivated and is willing to take responsibility for their own learning and results, all that is needed is a positive attitude and a desire to change.
There are no questions to prepare for this course however I am a big believer in ongoing reflective practice and you will be encouraged to do this, in addition, there may be homework provided between the two sessions to support learning.
I have been teaching and lecturing in osteology for over 10 years. I have worked within the NHS as a mental health practitioner using CBT to treat a range of common mental health problems. In addition, I have qualifications in integrative counselling, NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy and, have been working part-time in my own transformational coaching business since 2014.

About Me

I love learning and think that education has the power to transform lives, this is why I am so passionate about psychology and how to apply it to our lives. I'm currently doing a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology which offers powerful techniques on how to use coaching and the Psychology of creating your optimal life to transform HOW we live.

I aim to offer a range of applied psychology courses with a focus on helping you grow more fully and move closer towards your potential. My current flagship course is around the psychology of setting and actually achieving your goals, this is based on both experiential learning and psychology. I also have more therapeutic courses around managing stress, anxiety and depression.

As I am a qualified teacher, I can also offer introductory psychology classes which are more academic in nature depending on need and demand.

I believe that my classes are designed to help you think outside of the box, deepen your self-awareness and learn practical skills, my desire is that through applying this knowledge and principles you will be able to start creating change in your life in a more empowered way.

Each Learned.Live teacher is awarded a 4 star review for every one of their courses we have approved, in line with our assessment. This is why some teachers will display more than one 4 star review from Learned.Live if they have had multiple courses rigorously assessed by our team. We would not approve a course application if we did not feel it warranted a default 4 star review. Teacher star ratings are an average of each of their courses star ratings and will become modified as more students review their course(s) over time.
