Per Student

The Body-conditioning Class will consist of 4 sections:

  1. Warm-up
  2. Low-impact Cardio
  3. Strength and Tone
  4. Stretch

Exercises will be explained and demonstrated in a manner that is clear and easy to follow, without unnecessary stops so that you are working for the full class time, but with tips and corrections, so that the most possible gain can be achieved from each section. Alternative modifications will be offered for different levels of strength, fitness and flexibility. My experienced eye will ensure you work safely and effectively throughout, and I will help you develop to greater challenges as your individual progress allows.
Very soon you will discover improved core strength, balance and overall tone, as well as improved joint and muscle health from stretching properly.

You will need enough space to move comfortably around your exercise mat. Possible additional useful aids with which to do certain exercises include a theraband and an exercise ball, although these are optional.

This class is for all abilities.

Body conditioning improves endurance, increases flexibility, and establishes a balanced, stable physique. These valuable exercises offer a wealth of positive benefits to your overall health and fitness level. Regularly do these moves to build power, coordination, and speed. Body Conditioning combines cardio and resistance work to an energetic beat to work out your whole body.

I have multiple qualifications to teach dance and exercise, including the FISAF Aerobic and Step-training Certificate, as well as over 25 years of experience teaching to all abilities including complete beginners, senior citizens, and professional dancers. I am also very keen on keeping fit and healthy myself, and constantly research new ideas and methods of keeping fit and healthy. Staying safe and injury-free is a high priority for me, so I will always ensure my students are working to their full potential within safe guidelines, as far as is possible.

About Me

I have been teaching dance, ballet and exercise classes for over 25 years in gyms, dance schools and in private homes. I would now like to embrace online zoom classes to broaden my scope. I love the challenges and beauty that classical ballet offers, both to the dancer and the teacher, and am passionate about how to keep fit and healthy, and this means that I am continually researching. As a dancer at heart, my style of teaching enhances the joy of dance and movement, with inspiration from beautiful music. I am empathetic and non-judgemental, but am always trying to help each individual reach their full potential, either as an experienced dancer, someone who would like to learn ballet basics, or someone who would like a low-impact effective conditioning class to define, tone and stretch into a leaner, stronger, happier person.
